January 11 workshop

We will begin this workshop with a discussion of the various parts of a URL - informally termed a web address. This will also include a discussion of: top level domains, sub-domains, second level domains, sub-folders, page & page extensions.

We tend to throw these terms around - so in the first part of this workshop we will attempt to become more precise in their correct meaning.

We will examine a Weebly version of our club site wpcug.weebly.com -- & consider using it for the for PC Renew website.

We will demonstrate building a quickie website using Google Sites

December 14 workshop

For December's workshop, we will build a WordPress website for our own Tom Osbeck. Tom has an idea that would help neighborhoods to bring more safety, better connectivity and cooperation with each other for various tasks. He believes that a website is the ideal vehicle to provide the support tools, education and training to make this possible.

Join us as we translate Tom's idea into a website to achieve his goals. We will start with just his objectives & a bare-bones WordPress site & begin to build what he's looking for. For directions click here.
