    • A more advanced  content editor
    • Search Engine Optimization

Interesting development - Our host LanLine has set up a folder for us that gives us the ability to build a WordPress website.  One of the possible uses for this is to see whether we can duplicate our main website but this remains to be seen. There might be other uses for this folder - let's discuss. I tried some themes & put in a very limited amount of content but it's all very preliminary. You can chek it out at: wpcug.org/wordpress

February 11th workshop

This month we will direct our activities into two major areas:
Updating our club's website
We will start this month's workshop with a demonstration of how to update the club's own website, wpcug.org

Our website has a unique and dramatic look and it works well for our members as well as for new visitors.  It loads very quickly and ranks high in Google search results.  It's only drawback is that it was created almost 15 years ago using the FrontPage website builder and this fact makes updating the site somewhat complicated. If you are interested in how our site is updated with latest newsletter & the general meeting information, then this workshop is for you.

WordPress
